The toxicological and pharmacological properties of this compound are not fully known. For further information see the
MSDS on request. This item is manufactured, shipped according to standard practices, and intended for research and
development in a laboratory utilizing prudent procedures for handling chemicals of unknown toxicity, under the supervision of
persons technically qualified to evaluate potential risks and authorized to enforce appropriate health and safety measures.
As with all research chemicals, precautions should be taken to avoid unnecessary exposures or risks.
Boronic acids are often used in metal-catalyzed cross-coupling for C-C, C-N bond formation, and C-H functionalization.(1-7)
The air, moisture, and thermal stability of boronic acids, as well as functional group tolerance, low toxicity, and commercial
availability have made boronic acids ideally suited for coupling purposes.(1-7) The widely utilized Suzuki-Miyaura coupling
allows for the coupling of boronic acids with carbon halides and surrogates.(1,2,5-7) Other known chemistry may includes
1,4-addition to activated alkenes(3), 1,2-addition to carbonyls and imines(3), addition to anhydrides(3), 1,4-addition to
a,ß-unsaturated ketones(4), and 1,4-addition to esters and amides(4).
